Description

As the Data Analyst within People Places, & Spaces (PP&S), you will be a key leader in executing our transition to a modern technology ecosystem. You will build on discovery work that has already been completed, supporting the data migration, executing validation tasks, and building required reports. Working closely with the Implementation Manager, Workplace Technology and Data and key stakeholders, you will design, develop and deploy key reporting and dashboards for Facilities and Real Estate management, leveraging the new Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS). You will also develop and document key project artifacts, such as data mapping, data strategy, testing plans, and data input processes ensuring long term data integrity, to support the technology ecosystem's implementation.

This role requires an individual with initiative and the ability to develop a strong understanding of both the old and new IWMS and their data structure. You will work to understand how the two systems support our users with their processes, reporting and insights. You will be a hands-on executor of migration and reporting tasks. This position emphasizes hands-on execution of data migration, system integration, and the development of in and out of system reporting and dashboards to meet business requirements

Responsibilities

  • Data Migration Execution: Work hands-on with SMEs and vendor technical teams to execute the migration process, from data mapping and validation to final upload and verification.
  • Requirements Finalization: Partner with stakeholders to validate and finalize data migration and reporting requirements, building on the discovery already completed and identifying any gaps. Conduct pre and post-migration data quality assurance.
  • Reporting & Analytics Development: Design, build, deploy, and create documentation for custom reports and interactive dashboards for SMEs, translating complex data into actionable insights. This will primarily be done within Tableau and Planon (IWMS).
  • System & Project Acclimation: Proactively learn the existing project status, technology (IWMS, SAP), and data landscape to effectively contribute to active migration and reporting timelines.
  • Data Quality Facilitation: Partner with PP&S stakeholders to format, clean, and validate datasets before migrating them into the selected IWMS system. Develop strategy to drive continued data integrity.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a data analysis, business analysis, or systems analyst role.
  • Experience working with Facilities or Real Estate data (e.g., square footage tracking, occupancy metrics, or lease data) is a significant asset.
  • Implementation Experience: Experience supporting a major software implementation or data migration project is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in building reports and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio, Power BI, or in-system reporting tools). Strong data querying and manipulation skills (e.g. SQL).
  • Industry Knowledge: Willingness to learn about real estate, construction, and facilities management within a project management context is advantageous.
  • Education and Skills
  • Degree in business, economics, computer science or a related field is preferred.
  • CBAP or CCBA (IIBA) nice to have
  • SQL Certifications: (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer) nice to have
