Job Title: Process Engineer, Level (TBD)

Key Responsibilities:
Utilize engineering principles, scientific methods, and knowledge of food properties to develop process solutions for existing production lines and new business opportunities.
Learn and master the manufacturing and technical aspects of the fry lines.
Oversee the implementation of new production lines in a fast-paced, 24-hour plant.
Diagnose equipment and process technical issues, identifying short and long-term solutions for operational and quality optimization.
Ensure safety compliance from an equipment standpoint.
Assist with research, evaluation, pilot studies, and recommendations on advanced food processing technologies.
Lead projects to achieve operational and quality optimization.
Identify and design process improvement projects within the facility.
Develop plans and prioritize to achieve project goals, managing both expense and capital projects.
Partner externally with food processing equipment vendors, engineering firms, and technical consultants.
Participate in cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain.
Present project progress updates to internal teams, including Executive Leadership.
Travel to Sugar Foods’ facilities and vendors, with readiness to relocate to one of our US facilities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals, with a preferred hands-on understanding of food processing.
3-5 years of engineering experience, with direct experience in specifying, evaluating, selecting, installing, and commercializing similar equipment.
Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and adjust priorities as necessary.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and AutoCAD.
