Senior Applications Engineer

Pay Rate: $115-$125/hour on W2

Contract Length: 15 months

Location: Gregory, TX 78359 (Onsite)

 

Raise is currently hiring a Senior Applications Engineer on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide support for basic process control applications using basic application engineering skills such as point configuration, loop tuning, and identification of process dynamics.
  • Monitor, maintain, and modify existing process control applications and operator interfaces.
  • Identify and develop new control schemes to increase process safety, operability, and profitability.
  • Provide process control support during project development, installation, and startup.
  • Participate actively within the operating team including molecule management, unit troubleshooting and incident investigations.
  • On-Call availability to support emergency site events (freeze, hurricane, unplanned process event, etc.) outside of normal hours when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Engineering (Chemical preferred)
  • 10 years relevant work experience.
  • Ability to be a team player, navigate through challenges, and balance competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience with regulatory and advanced controls of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of Honeywell Experion process control system.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, accuracy, effectiveness, and self-confidence.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with multi-variable predictive control (i.e. DMC) is a plus.
