Project Manager/Leader – Senior
Pay Rate: (flexible)
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Contract Length: 11 Months, Hybrid

Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager/Lead is responsible for leading and supporting the eReferral future state initiatives, including management of issues, risks and service change requests to ensure successful and on-time deployment of the projects.
· Manages all aspects of PCCG (Provincial Care Coordination Gateway) project to ensure delivery of project is on time, in scope and within budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies and compliance with agile project management methodologies and frameworks
· Engage with internal and external stakeholders; handle client relationships to manage expectations
· Gather and develop requirements in order to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan.
· Proactively identify potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed; identify potential conflicts between project and functional areas
· Work closely with teams at Ontario Health , such as Ontario Health’s Identity and Access Management Service (ONE ID), the Ontario Health Service Desk, ONE Access Gateway team and eReferral Product team to support deployments/clients
· Articulate and prioritize issues and risks and recommends mitigation strategies for decision makers
· Facilitate training of end-users and distribution of materials and job aids; develop documents and support materials as required
· Use appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on forces in support of change during all stages of projects – concept, definition, planning, implementation and close-out
· Ensure pre Go-live readiness: technical, configuration, workflow modifications
· Provide go-live, troubleshooting and first 72 hours ‘Warranty’ support pilot sites; facilitate transition to Operations
· Develop project status reports, deployment reporting/tracking and maintaining and monitoring status reporting logs for stakeholders within Ontario Health and the regions
· Update and monitor project document repository within MS Teams to ensure all documents are developed, reviewed and maintained in the repository
Desired Skills:
· Professional certifications: Project Management Professional; Knowledge and understanding of Project Management’s Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge
· Demonstrated project management software skills and experience e.g. MS Project, MS Teams etc.
· College/University undergraduate degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline from a recognized institution or equivalent experience – desired
· Experience managing integration projects with electronic health records (EHR) and other Healthcare Information Systems used throughout the province of Ontario
· Experience managing technical integration projects involving HL7 v2, FHIR, and other APIs.
· Experience working with agile product teams including with software development, product management and quality assurance team members.
· Experience with health system business implementation and deployment projects
· Proven track record working with health care professionals; direct clinical data experience or experience working with clinicians would be an asset
· Experience in liaising with customers/stakeholders where customer service was a key focus to responding to queries, issues/risk management, etc.
· Relationship building, facilitation and influencing skills to successfully partner with internal and external stakeholders
· Ability to readily identify, assess and mitigate implementation and adoption issues
· Experience with and/or knowledge of change management, workflow analysis and redesign, business process integration, and/or evaluation/quality improvement, preferably in the health sector
· Experience operating in highly political environments and across various organizational cultures
· Working knowledge of privacy policies and legislative processes – Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and associated Health Information Custodian (HIC) requirements is an asset
Evaluation Criteria:
· 7 – 10 years’ experience project managing electronic health-related projects.: 30 Points
· Strong communication skills, demonstrating strength in presentation skills, verbal, written, active listening, conflict resolution and stress tolerance.: 20 Points
· Knowledge of Healthcare Information Systems, with a familiarity with Referral Management Systems used throughout the province of Ontario preferred.: 20 Points
· Experience with health system business requirements definition and implementation.: 10 Points
· Knowledge of Referral workflows and associated business processes within primary care (EMRs), specialist (HISs), Medical Imaging, LTC, etc.: 10 Points
· Proven track record working with health care professionals and IT developers in the field.: 10 Points

Must Haves:
· 7+ years experience with and knowledge of Project Management concepts in managing electronic health-related projects, ideally with experience deploying clinical software systems (e.g. project goals, risk, scope, participant roles, planning and quality management)
· 7+ years experience Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and strong stakeholder engagement skills
· 7+ years experience with vendor management; ability to balance competing priorities to maintain good vendor relationships while hold them accountable to project deliverables
· 7+ years experience ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize multiple projects
Nice to Have:
· Experience managing integration projects leveraging HL7 (Health Level Seven) and FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)
