GMS Analyst (Gas Management Services)

  • Contract Length: 1 Year

  • Work Type: Hybrid – In-Office (Mon, Tue & Thu) | Remote (Wed & Fri)
  • Work Schedule: Available and willing to work rotating day and evening shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

As a GMS Analyst, you will gain an understanding of the natural gas market, coupled with the opportunity to interact and develop relationships with numerous company gas departments and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Issue and confirm natural gas flow requests for customers, suppliers, and pipelines.
  • Validate daily gas flows on company’s transmission pipeline interconnects, storage facilities and third-party transmission pipelines.
  • Prepare accurate monthly activity statements for EGI customers used for invoicing and verification of company’s gas supply and transportation invoices.
  • Respond to inquiries from pipelines, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ensure any discrepancies are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain positive business relationships with customers, agents, marketers, and interconnecting pipelines.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to GMS Analysts, customers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • College diploma and/or university degree.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven understanding of PC applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Web browsers) required.
  • Ability to quickly learn information technology systems used to enable GMS business processes is an asset.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines is desired.
  • Two or more years of previous scheduling experience or comparable industry experience is desired.
