Disability Case Managers

  • Locations:
    • Calgary: Hours MT, Hybrid (1 day per week in office)
    • Edmonton: Hours MT, Hybrid (1 day per week in office)
    • Vancouver; Hours MT/PT, Hybrid (1 day per week in office)
    • Elsewhere in Canada: Hours MT, 100% Remote
  • Contract Length: 6 Months.

Raise is proactively curating exceptional candidates for upcoming roles with one of our top clients in the insurance and healthcare space. With a strong reputation as an industry leader, our client is expanding their Disability Case Management team in response to increased service demand.

Responsibilities:

  • Adjudicate short- and long-term disability claims based on specific contract.
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship, support, remove barriers to treatment, and create a back-to-work plan, which includes ongoing contact with the employer and medical professionals as well.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of experience as a disability case manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Healthcare field, Kinesiology or Business.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts.
  • Able to use digital tools and multiple platforms.
  • Collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Demonstrated strength in these key skills:
    • Case management
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Emotional Intelligence
    • Crisis intervention
    • Rehabilitation techniques
    • Analytical & decision-making skills
    • Critical Thinking
    • Organization and time management

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Previous frontline healthcare experience ( nursing, occupational or physical therapy, mental health support)
  • Bilingual French
