  • 1st Shift, 5:00am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend required
  • $27-37 per hour dependant on experience

Our client is a thriving leader in food production and they are seeking an experienced Machinist to join their team and uphold their commitment to safety and customer service. What You Offer:

  • 2-4 years’ proven experience with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery used for computer-aided manufacturing
  • 2-3 years’ minimum experience programming and operating CNC machines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications and troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process
  • Proficient in operating various machine tools including lathes and mills.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ability to set up, calibrate, and maintain machinery effectively.
  • Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations
  • Familiarity with inspection and measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a machining environment.
  • Ability to make parts from drawings and drawing files.
  • Experience working with stainless steel

Responsibilities:

  • Operate production equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs and verbal and written instructions.
  • Operate lathes, mills, and other machine tools to produce precision parts and components.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Set up and adjust machine tools to achieve desired specifications and tolerances.
  • Monitor the machining process to ensure quality and efficiency, adjusting as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. 
  • Fast-paced work environment with, in, and around industrial machinery.
  • Capability to stand in one place for 80% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
  • Capability to walk throughout department for 20% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
  • Capability to lift to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis with or without reasonable accommodation. 
  • Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift (8+ hours per day)
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment. Production rooms are kept at a constant 32 degrees (and below in certain areas). Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a Safety Sensitive Position.
  • Able to consent to a background check, Drug & Alcohol testing and Pre-Employment Physical
