Mill Operator
- Pay Rate: $20-$22/hour final hourly rate will depend on experience.
- Contract Length: 7 months contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
- Location: Amelia, LA 70340 (Onsite)
- Additional Information: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for utilizing crushing, grinding, conveying, packaging, testing and shipping equipment to expedite transformation of crude materials such as barite and bentonite into finished products.
- Operates mobile equipment, monitors production and processing, and performs required maintenance and troubleshooting in the mill or plant environment.
- Operate equipment in a safe, efficient and compliant manner.
- Report deviations to mill or plant management.
- Maintain a safe, clean, environmentally sound work area.
- Communicate with coworkers and management.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in optimal condition using preventative maintenance systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
