Senior Planning and Projects Coordinator

Duties and Responsibility In this role, you will:
• Support EQAO-related operations, planning and coordination related to the conference
• Assist with IAEA coordination requirements leading up to conference
• Manage and coordinate on-site conference operations, including planning and event management before and during the conference
• Complete conference close-out and debriefs
• Provide support to the Manager, Operations and Special Projects What you bring to the team Event and Project Management Skills
• Strong background in event management/coordination, planning and running large scale events.
• Lead projects from initial concept through completion within specific timelines
• Provide project leadership and advice to an assigned team of professionals
• Monitor operational work, risks, actions, issues and decisions
• Prepare project plans and monitor work using project management software/tools (e.g. Clickup) Relationship Management and Communication Skills
• Expertise in creating and managing complex stakeholder relationships
• Work collaboratively to resolve issues, negotiate changes and shifts in priorities
• Lead consultations with stakeholders ensuring a shared understanding
• Respond to issues, provide recommendations and prepare reports using standard computer software • Prepare, lead and present briefings on complex issues analysis to senior management Problem-Solving,
Evaluation and Analytical Skills:
• Oversee preparation/approvals of contract/vendor management proposals.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, sensitivity and a high degree of political acuity
• Assess the effectiveness of events/programs against agency initiatives and goals
• Interpret and apply policy, procedures and legislation
Deliverable
To provide event management and coordination for an upcoming conference, including requirements leading up to conference, on-site conference operations and completing conference close-out and debriefs.
