Claims Contract Attorney

  • Pay Rate: $32.00/hour on W2
  • Contract Length: 6 months
  • Location: 50 miles within Approved HUB Location (Remote)
  • Work Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Training Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM PST for first week

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

  • We have an immediate need for attorneys who will be critical members of a project team responsible for handling product liability class action litigation and mass tort matters.
  • These are not eDiscovery document review positions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing claim documents.
  • Preparing detailed responses to sometimes complex written inquiries of claimants and counsel.
  • Fielding sometimes complex telephone inquiries from claimants and counsel.
  • Receiving training, direction, and oversight from project directors, project managers, project coordinators, and/or other project team members
  • "Best-in-class” customer service is expected to be provided to both internal and external clients.

Qualifications

  • Must have JD from an accredited U.S. law school (a foreign law degree may suffice).
  • Active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction is required.
  • Litigation experience preferred
  • Class action and/or mass tort experience a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Flexibility
  • Customer service approach
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word products as well as Smartsheets is preferred.
