Raise Workforce has partnered with a leading single-use food packaging manufacture that does custom orders for businesses that value efficient service, flexibility, and reliability. They produce hot and cold cups, as well as an extensive lineup of paper and plastic containers.

 

As an Extrusion Technician, you will be working in a fast-paced, team environment and responsible for overseeing and optimizing the PET extrusion process to ensure the production of high-quality food packaging solutions.

 

What you will be doing…

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain PET extrusion machinery in accordance with safety protocols and company standards.
  • Set up, calibrate, and adjust extrusion equipment to achieve optimal production parameters and desired product specifications.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the PET extrusion process, ensuring continuous production flow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency, product quality, and waste reduction.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment maintenance, and process changes.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven experience as a Technician in PET extrusion, preferably in food packaging solutions or relevant experience
  • Proficient understanding of extrusion processes, machinery, and associated technologies.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment; e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE as required by specific job
  • Able to perform repetitive hand, wrist, body twist and bend, grasping and pinching, and kneeling, squatting, and climbing tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to work after-hours when required.
