Position – Paper Cup Machine Mechanic
- Pay Rate: $50K – $90K Base USD Yearly
- Location: Piscataway, NJ
Raise is currently hiring a permanent, full-time team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Paper Cup Machine Mechanic located in Piscataway, NJ. The Mechanic will be responsible for maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment related to paper cup production.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or mechanical maintenance role of paper cup forming machines.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Can work in a fast-paced environment and minimize downtime.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, standing position for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup, adjustment, and operation of paper cup forming machines and Baggers.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspecting mechanical components.
- Replace worn or damaged machine parts, including belts, gears, and bearings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
- Support equipment changeovers and line startups to minimize downtime.
- Communicate effectively with machine operators and supervisors to understand machine performance issues.
Follow all plant safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with paper cup forming machines (e.g., PMC, Horauf, or similar equipment).
- Experience in food packaging or paper product manufacturing environments.
