About the Role

We’re looking for a Systems Integrator to join our client's team and help design, program, commission, and install world-class automation solutions. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with mechanical and electrical teams, as well as customers, to deliver efficient, high-quality control systems that meet project specifications and performance goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, test, and implement automation solutions on the shop floor.
  • Program, debug, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, and machine vision systems.
  • Perform robot simulation studies to validate reach and cycle-time constraints.
  • Travel to customer sites for commissioning, testing, and technical support.
  • Integrate controls systems with upstream/downstream equipment and data management systems.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure solutions align with specifications and production goals.
  • Work alongside Safety Engineers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, network diagrams, and user manuals.
  • Monitor timelines and budgets to ensure project success.
  • Represent the company professionally on-site and during customer interactions.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3–8 years of relevant industry experience in automation, systems integration, or controls engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of automation hardware and software systems.
  • PLC programming experience: Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 5/500/5000, Studio 5000 – Logix Designer); experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron is an asset.
  • HMI development experience with RS View Studio / FactoryTalk View Studio; Ignition experience is an asset.
  • Experience with Vision Systems (Cognex, Keyence, IFM, Fanuc iRVision, Omron).
  • Familiarity with Industrial Robotics (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license required.

Work Environment

This role involves both office and manufacturing settings. You’ll work hands-on with automation equipment and may be exposed to noise, dust, or production materials while on-site. Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs) may be required. Appropriate PPE must be worn as needed.
