Associate Business Analyst
- Pay Rate: $25.00 – $29.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 12 months
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (negotiable with some flexibility)
- Training Schedule: Same as work schedule
- Location: 50 miles within Approved HUB Locations (Remote)

Overview
- The Business Analyst group within Client Services is the team which manages and coordinates the review, programming and testing of both simple and complex plans of allocation as detailed for settlement purposes in Class Action, Remediation, and Mass Tort administration.
- Act as a resource to the Project Managers based on their experience and understanding of how securitized instruments trade across various exchanges and platforms as needed spanning the entire lifecycle of a class action or antitrust matter.
- Responsible for understanding the requirements of a particular case and determining the handling of those securities in relation to not only the Plan of Allocation (“POA”) but also defect noticing and general class member and client communications.
- The Associate BA translates functional requirements into a technical statement of work from which developers can code the Plan of Allocation.
- Will test and review the results of each calculation module to ensure that it is properly applying the POA and work directly with Data Services, QC/QA Analysts, Claims, Project Teams, Business Analysts and other operational groups to understand all aspects of the case.
Responsibilities
- Understand the entire lifecycle of a securities class action or similar matter. Determine what data is required and define how that data, as well as our business rules, will translate to the Plan of Allocation applications.
- Develop and publish technical specifications, requirements, test claims and other documentation, as required, specifically as it relates to the calculation module.
- Using tools such as Excel, SQL Server, and others to analyze data ensuring requirements are being met.
- Accommodate BAs and Senior BAs, as well as the Claims Team with nominee outreach including but not limited to questions on recognized loss, eligibility of securities, filing eligibility and the application of the Plan of Allocation
- Assist BAs and Senior BAs with the Final Review of a case, including audits of top claims, duplicates and price per share outliers and other
- Review all submitted data (trade date, securities, etc.) to ensure it complies the with the Plan of Allocation and requirements of the settlement
- Create standard queries that can pull specific components from the Plan of Allocation and transactional submissions for calculation review. Review Master Proof of Claim file and contact nominees to resolve issues and answer questions.
- Conduct or consult in testing of the calculation module to ensure results are acceptable and meet requirements consistent with the approved Plan of Allocation.
- Interact and correspond professionally with team members, project management, clients, nominees, brokers and other stakeholders.
- Account for and accurately log time against project work in SAP.

Qualifications
- 4-year college degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 2+ years of experience as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Process Specialist, or other roles where business functional requirements are captured and decomposed.
- At least two years of SQL experience.
- Proficient in MS Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Experience with relational databases
- Ability to work in an environment with deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to adjust for the intended audience.
- Proficiency in MS SQL server is required.
- Fluent in English.
