As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and integrity of essential pipeline and facility infrastructure across the United States.
  • In this role, you will provide technical leadership and engineering expertise to support pipeline operations and the development of pipeline facilities associated with maintenance and expansion capital projects. You will help ensure that all projects are executed in accordance with company standards, industry regulations, and engineering best practices while contributing to the long-term reliability and performance of critical energy assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a senior technical leader, you will provide engineering guidance and support for U.S. Liquids Pipeline operations, partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain safe and reliable operations. You will lead technical discussions, troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges, and drive initiatives that improve system performance and reliability.
  • You will support Engineering Services programs and projects aligned with strategic business objectives and long-range planning initiatives. This includes contributing to maintenance and expansion projects, evaluating emerging technologies, and advancing innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with Enbridge's standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • The role also involves mentoring and developing engineering team members and technical specialists, fostering knowledge sharing and technical excellence across Enbridge. In addition, you will manage regulatory information requests and support audits while promoting a culture centered on safety, integrity, inclusion, respect, and high performance.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with a focus in Electrical or Power Engineering.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or PE) registration, or the ability to obtain registration, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. petroleum industry regulations, engineering codes, and applicable standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in power systems engineering, system modeling, pipeline operations, pump stations, terminal facilities, and associated technologies.
  • The ability to analyze complex technical issues, develop practical solutions, and make sound engineering decisions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Creative Suite, and SKM software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting and working at a computer for extended periods.
  • Repetitive motion and keyboard use.
  • Standing, walking, kneeling, reaching above shoulder level, and grasping objects.
  • Light to moderate lifting of materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read fine print, view computer screens, and distinguish color-coded information.
  • Hearing ability adequate for effective communication and workplace safety.

Mental & Cognitive Requirements:

  • Interpret, remember, and apply written and verbal instructions.
  • Analyze complex technical problems and develop alternative solutions collaboratively.
  • Organize and communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Prioritize competing responsibilities and manage short-term workloads.
  • Make decisions that influence immediate work outcomes and contribute to broader organizational objectives.
  • Prepare routine and technical documentation, including reports, memoranda, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders through both written and verbal channels.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional field visits.
  • Approximately 10% to 15% travel may be required.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when visiting operating facilities, construction sites, or other field locations.
