SAP SOX Audit Analyst

Overview
Keep SAP audit-ready all year. As the SAP SOX Audit Analyst, you are the main contact between the ERP Platforms team, Internal Audit, and external auditors for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) work on SAP. You manage audit requests, check evidence before it goes out, and help teams close control gaps. Success means complete, on-time evidence and no surprises at audit time.
Responsibilities
- Manage SOX audit requests for SAP from start to finish. Set scope and owner, route requests outside ERP to the right team, and track each one to its deadline.
- Review audit responses and evidence before submission so they are complete, accurate, and ready for auditors.
- Represent ERP Platforms in audit walkthroughs and control meetings. Report status and metrics to managers and stakeholders.
- Support IT General Controls (ITGCs) all year. Spot control gaps and risks, recommend fixes, and help close audit findings.
- Guide audits on SAP access, including user provisioning, role assignments, privileged and Firefighter IDs, technical accounts, and segregation of duties (SoD).
- Serve as the go-to expert on SOX change management controls. Validate evidence for transports, releases, emergency changes, and approvals.
- Coach teammates on SOX requirements and on answering auditors clearly.
- Find ways to automate audit reporting and evidence gathering. Build metrics that show how controls perform.
- Keep SOX procedures, work instructions, and audit guidelines current.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and three to five years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of SAP landscapes and ERP operations, on-premises and cloud.
- Hands-on experience supporting SOX audits, ITGCs, or IT compliance programs.
- Working knowledge of access management, privileged access, SoD, and change management controls.
- Experience with ServiceNow (incidents, changes, requests, and tasks), SAP Change Request Management (ChaRM), and SAP ChaRM Rise.
- Clear documentation of processes, controls, and audit procedures, plus strong reporting in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced or fluent English, written and spoken. You work every day with auditors, leaders, and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Access Control.
- SAP Identity Access Governance.
- Microsoft Entra ID and role-based access control (RBAC).
- API integrations and enterprise system interfaces.
- Automation and reporting tools, such as Python or Power BI.
- Support for global audit programs at a multinational company.
- Agile and Scrum.
