Laboratory Technician

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $21.00/hr on W2, depending on experience

Work Type: Onsite – Horseheads, NY, 14845

Work Schedule: Day Shift: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm, 7 days on 3 days off | Night Shift: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am, 7 days on 4 days off

Accommodations: While on rotation to a basin, you will be housed in a "man camp" or provided hotel-based housing.

Travel: If you are required to work in an oilfield basin away from your "home" location, you will be provided mileage for travel and reimbursable expenses with receipt.

Duration: 3-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Additional Details: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.

Raise is currently hiring a laboratory technician on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of PSD services to customers through rigorous quality control and advanced technical support.
  • Perform essential quality assurance tests on company products and conduct regular laboratory audits to ensure operations meet required standards.
  • Provide advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design. This includes developing the competency level required to execute these complex tasks.
  • Prepare comprehensive laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the service delivery process and actively participate in continual improvement programs and Service Quality Meetings with customers.
  • Perform risk analysis before every task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
  • Maintain continuous contact with Client Support Labs/operating locations, product centers, and the InTouch repository for technical support.
  • Ensure that laboratory equipment is maintained in clean, working condition, that waste is regularly disposed of, and that all duties adhere strictly to HSE policies (e.g., wearing PPE and maintaining required safety training).
  • Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers and assist the Design/Technical Engineer and Product Champions as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to work safely under strict regulatory protocols.
  • Must be committed to providing safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery.
