Assembler
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour – $27.00/hour on W2, depending on experience.
Work Schedule:
Day Shift: Monday to Friday | 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
Night Shift: Monday to Thursday | 5:00 pm – 3:30 am
Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday | 5:00 am – 5:30 pm
Work Type: Onsite – Shreveport, LA 71107
Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Additional Information: Standard License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
Raise is currently hiring an Assembler on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components of all products, selecting the correct tools and fixtures.
- Test assembled products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.
- Read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent tools and rework techniques.
- Operate equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Create labor records for all transactions.
- Ensure good housekeeping within own work area.
- Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to relating Risk Assessments.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
- Must be mechanically adept; able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read, interpret, and carry out written and oral instructions; write legibly.
- Experience working with assembly related operations or equivalent preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa Sponsorship.
