Project Material Coordinator
- Pay rate: $60.00 – 70.00/hour (based on experience)
- Contract Length: 2 years
- Location: Based out of Saskatoon, supporting Northern Saskatchewan projects
- Fly In Fly Out Camp accommodation provided.
- Rotation (2 weeks in-2 weeks out, 11 hours a day)
- Company Charter Flights provided – Departing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Raise is currently hiring a Project Material Coordinator member on behalf of our client, a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end material management for the project, including receiving, inspecting, documenting, and tracking all incoming materials, equipment, and supplies delivered to the site.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, accurate documentation, and proper handling of all project materials.
- Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring materials are properly labeled, inventoried, and stored in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Prepare materials for staging and issuance to field crews, ensuring accurate allocation and timely distribution to support scheduled construction and operational activities.
- Use SAP/S4HANA to enter goods receipts, track material movements, update inventory status, resolve discrepancies, and support project reporting requirements.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and inventory reconciliations, addressing any variances promptly and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts and telehandlers to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Qualifications;
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in warehouse operations or project materials management, ideally within construction, mining, energy, or other industrial project environments. Candidates with prior experience supporting major capital projects or large-scale field operations will be strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of project materials, including receiving, inspecting, tracking, storing, staging, and issuing equipment and supplies. Experience working with suppliers, contractors, and logistics teams is an asset.
- Valid equipment certifications for operating a telehandler and forklift (or willingness to obtain—training can be provided upon hire). Demonstrated experience safely operating material-handling equipment is highly valued.
- Experience with SAP/S4HANA for materials management, inventory control, or procurement tasks. Familiarity with work order systems, goods receipts, and material tracking modules is beneficial.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, with the ability to maintain logs, track inventory, update reports, and communicate effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple material streams and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced project environment.
