Material Handlers
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour – $27.00/hour on W2, depending on experience
Work Schedule:
Day Shift: Monday to Friday | 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
Night Shift: Monday to Thursday | 5:00 pm – 3:30 am
Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday | 5:00 am – 5:30 pm
Work Type: Onsite – Shreveport, LA 71107
Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Additional Information: Standard License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
Raise is currently hiring a Material Handler on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the movement, transportation, and storage of materials.
- Load and unload shipments and transfer materials between storage areas and production lines.
- Receive incoming materials.
- Prepare and distribute materials to the designated production or assembly areas.
- Maintain accurate records of all material transactions.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of forklift experience.
- Experience in inventory management are preferred.
- Experience in supply chain warehousing activities or equivalent roles are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
