  • Pay Rate: $ $90.00 – $100.00/ hour (based on experience)
  • Contract Length: 10 Months 
  • Location: McArthur River, Saskatchewan
    • Fly-in/fly-out camp accommodations provided
    • Rotation (2 weeks in-2 weeks out, 11 hours a day)
    • Company Charter Flights provided – Departing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Contractors are expected to travel to Saskatoon for chartered flights to camp sites.

Raise is currently hiring a Field Superintendent (McArthur River) on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection.

Description 

The Field Superintendent in this role provides critical leadership for the tactical execution of construction and maintenance projects. You will serve as the primary link between the organization’s operational goals and contractor performance. Your mission is to ensure that all field activities—specifically within Scaffolding and Civil scopes—are executed with uncompromising safety, high quality, and optimal productivity.

Responsibilities

  • The Field Superintendent has primary responsibility to ensure contractors within their area are working in a safe manner abiding by all safety program requirements
  • The Field Superintendent will review and/or develop detailed work plans according to ’s workface planning processes
  • In some instances, the Field Superintendent may perform supervision of direct field labour during scaffold erection and scaffolding coordination, and Civil scopes of work ensuring the work is completed safely and to a high-quality standard
  • In some instances, the Field Superintendent will oversee the contractor’s activities, such as civil construction or scaffolding, confirming the work is completed safely and according to all contract requirements
  • Inspections of completed work to confirm it is completed to appropriate standards, identifying deficiencies and managing the completion of deficiencies
  • Monitoring the schedule and productivity of work and work collaboratively with the contractor and operations personnel to resolve issues and barriers
  • Daily validation and approval of contractor submitted labour, equipment and material reports
  • Responsible to coordinate field activities between contractors and the operations team as required

Qualifications

  • Intermediate (4-9yrs) or Senior (10+yrs) in construction supervision or field management with Deep knowledge of estimating, planning, and supervising scaffold builds and material logistics
  • Proven track record managing Civil construction scopes (concrete, earthworks, structural).
  • Significant experience in brownfield construction (working within existing/active facilities).
  • Experience in underground mining is considered a major asset.
  • Ability to accurately validate L.E.M. (Labour, Equipment, Material) reports and manage field costs.

Education and Skills 

  • Journeyperson Ticket: A recognized ticket in Scaffolding is highly preferred.
  • CSO Designation: Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or equivalent safety designation is required.
  • Supervisor Training: Formal leadership or supervisor training certification is required.

Ability to influence contractor behavior and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong problem-solving skills to navigate schedule delays or resource conflicts in a high-pressure environment.
