Field Superintendent
- Pay Rate: $100 /hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 1 year
- Location: Key Lake, Saskatchewan ( Camp Role)
- Fly In Fly Out Camp accommodation provided
- Rotation (2 weeks in-2 weeks out, 11 hours a day)
- Company Charter Flights provided – Departing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Raise is currently hiring a Field Superintendent on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our client is a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection.
Description
The Field Superintendent is a leadership role responsible for the safe and efficient execution of mechanical and piping scopes. You will serve as the primary link between the organization's operations and the contractors on-site. Your goal is to ensure that all work is performed to the highest quality standards, on schedule, and—most importantly—within the strict safety guidelines of a brownfield industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all contractors within the assigned area perform work safely and in full compliance with company safety programs, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Review and/or develop detailed work plans in alignment with established Workface Planning processes
- Supervise direct field labour on mechanical and piping scopes of work when required, ensuring safe execution and high-quality standards
- Oversee contractor mechanical and piping activities to confirm work is completed safely and in accordance with all contract specifications
- Inspect completed work to verify adherence to quality and safety standards, identify deficiencies, and manage corrective actions to completion
- Monitor work schedules and productivity, collaborating with contractors and operations teams to resolve field issues and remove barriers
- Validate and approve daily contractor labour, equipment, and material reports
- Coordinate field activities between contractors and operations teams to ensure safe, efficient, and timely work execution
Qualifications
- 4–10+ years of experience in a brownfield construction or heavy industrial maintenance environment (Mining, Nuclear, or Oil & Gas).
- Extensive experience with multi-discipline mechanical work, specifically involving heavy mechanical equipment and complex piping systems.
- Proven track record of managing third-party contractors and validating LEM reports (daily contractor labour, equipment, and material reports)
- Experience working in a brownfield construction environment (live" infrastructure where precision and risk management are paramount.)
- Education and Skills
- Journeyperson Ticket with Red Seal endorsement (Steamfitter / Pipefitter or Millwright (Industrial Mechanic)
- CSO Designation — Required
- Completion of recognized Supervisor Training program
