TM1 Planning Analytics Systems Analyst

Overview
- We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Systems Analyst to support, enhance and optimize our IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) ecosystem and associated components.
- This role focuses on improving performance of complex models, designing scalable planning structures, and ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and accuracy of the end-to-end Planning Analytics architecture, including data integration pipelines, calculation logic, and reporting frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Select, design, and implement solutions to improve the performance of complex Excel based models running in IBM Planning Analytics Local.
- Develop and enhance TM1 models, including creation of new cubes, dimensions, rules, and performance optimization strategies.
- Build, modify, and maintain planning and reporting assets through Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE).
- Create and maintain Turbo Integrator (TI) processes to support data loads, transformations, and automation.
- Configure and maintain IBM Planning Analytics Local and Planning Analytics Workspace on Windows Server and OpenShift environments.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, TI processes, data flows, and infrastructure requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve system configuration, performance, or data-related issues in collaboration with business and technical teams.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, performance tuning, and process optimization.
Qualifications
Proficiency with
- IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
- Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW)
- Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE)
- Turbo Integrator (TI) scripting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot performance and data issues.
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
Desirable Competencies
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, including model structure, data imports, and reporting.
- Familiarity with Snowflake data warehousing concepts, including schema design, performance optimization, and data pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, and data validation scripts.
- Experience creating Power BI dashboards and data models, including data preparation and transformation activities.
