Are you passionate about creating high-quality cosmetics and contributing to pharmaceutical production? One of our clients is looking for an entry-level to experienced Compounder to join their team. As a Compounder, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes align with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. In this pivotal position, you'll also support essential departmental duties, such as cleaning and sanitization, to maintain our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties related to Assistant Compounder and Compounding Storage Area Technician.
  • Oversee daily manufacturing processes for cosmetics and assist in pharmaceuticals, prioritizing safety, quality, and compliance with cGMP.
  • Follow and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain departmental logbooks, ensuring their completion within SOP requirements.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of compounding techniques for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, including emulsions, gels, liquids, powders, and dyes.
  • Adhere to cGMP requirements, maintaining quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Understand and operate manufacturing equipment like pumps, silos, mixers, and more.
  • Follow check weigh procedures for weighing active raw materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports directly to the 1st Compounding Supervisor and 2nd Compounding Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Valid United States Working Documents.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year experience working with chemicals in a cGMP environment.
  • Proficiency in a compounding environment or equivalent experience.
  • Mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in English to understand and communicate SOPs, GMPs, and procedures.

  • GEN-008 Dress Code / Personal Hygiene / cGMP Compliance
  • GEN-010 Maintenance Procedures for Purified Water System Hoses
  • MFG-001 Pre-weigh and Inventory Control of Chemical Raw Materials
  • MFG-002 Weighing and Addition of Active Ingredients, Preservatives, and Fragrances
  • MFG-003 Cleaning / Sanitization Procedures of Cosmetic Processing Equipment and Cosmetic Product Holding Containers
  • MFG-004 Cleaning / Sanitization Procedures of Pharmaceutical Processing Equipment and Pharmaceutical Product Holding Containers
  • MFG-005 Facility Cleaning and Maintenance
  • MFG-007 Equipment Labeling Procedure
  • QC-010 Sampling Requirements for Bulk and Finished Products
  • QC-013 General Start-Up Line Clearance & Compounding Batch Clearance
