Senior Cost Control Engineer
- Pay Rate: Pay: $84-$110/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 12 months
- Location: Spring, TX 77389 (Onsite)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The Cost/Schedule/Controls Engineer will perform or coordinate effort for cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight and quality assurance reviews for Company operated and Other Builder Operator estimates for all Gate and Funding milestones.
- Prepare Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with Operated by Others (OBO) Operator-prepared submittals.
- Participate in estimate / Schedule assessments (verification of project cost & schedule bases).
- Lastly, they are expected to participate in Estimating Group process efficiency tools and quality assurance review process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining change control, cost reports, etc.
- Work with project estimator, planner and scheduler and Client’s accounting staff.
- Coordinate and assemble the monthly progress reports.
- Work closely with client’s project manager and team leads for regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Competent estimator in Aspen Tech that can develop an estimate on their own with little oversight
- Experience in the project development space not just execution.
- Needs ability to build estimates in the early phases pre-full funding and in the conceptual stage.
- Experience working for an owner or in the owner space (not just EPC experience there isn’t owners cost associated)
- Good communication skills and able to explain and document work.
- Ability to learn quickly our in-house estimating tool (similar to Aspen Tech)
