Assembler
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $21.00/hour on W2, depending on experience
Work Location: Onsite – Whittier, CA 90601
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5:00 am – 1:30 pm
Duration: 9-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Additional Details: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
Raise is currently hiring an Assembler on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assembling and testing products, and for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Assemble components of all Product Lines. Select correct tools and fixtures.
- Test assembled products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.
- Ensure ability to: read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques; operate equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Create labor records for all transactions.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs from floor to knuckles levels on an occasional basis
- Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds from floor to waist level on occassional basis
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds from floor to shoulder level on occassional basis
- Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds from floor to crown level on an occassional basis
