Project Manager/Leader – Intermediate
Pay Rate: Flexible
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Contract Length: 12 Months, Hybrid

Responsibilities:
- Manage projects of high priority, complexity and long-term duration with provincial scope for the Health Innovation Pathway program including managing all applications to the pathway throughout their lifecycle
- Manage multiple projects concurrently
- Pull diverse internal and external interdisciplinary groups together, emphasizing interdependence, shared overall objectives, and the need for combined skills
- Monitor all project deliverables to ensure successful delivery within the constraints of scope, schedule, cost and quality
- Lead complex interdependencies between projects and with key partners
- Conduct regularly scheduled status reviews, provides business guidance, identify deviations to work plan and implement corrective action
- Develop and present material for review and informational purposes using excellent written, verbal, and graphical communications skills, with ability to express complex concepts effectively
- Be the key interface with Managers, Directors, executives and internal and external partners
- Create new or improve existing project and portfolio management standards (including processes and tools)
Desired Skills:
- Professional certifications: Project Management Professional; Knowledge and understanding of Project Management’s Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge
- Demonstrated project management software skills and experience e.g. MS Project, MS Teams etc.
- Demonstrated experience working with various Project Management delivery methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
- College/University degree in Health Sciences, Health Administration, Business Administration or related field is required
- Experience operating in highly political environments and across various organizational cultures
- Experience in change management, process development and business/project management operations is preferred
Required Experience / Evaluation Criteria:
- 5-8 years of relevant Project Management experience leading projects in a healthcare environment is required including managing medium to large projects/programs with progressively increasing scale and scope of execution authority. 20 Points
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating strength in presentation skills, verbal, written, active listening, conflict resolution and stress tolerance. 20 Points
- Strong understanding of the healthcare sector and knowledgeable of the Health Innovation landscape in Ontario and beyond. 20 Points
- Proven track record of working with Clinical Experts, Government, technical teams, and healthcare administrators. 10 Points
- Demonstrated success working in matrixed management structures and engaging diverse partner groups. 10 Points
- Able to Lead complex interdependencies between projects and with key partners. 10 Points
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting all timelines and requirements. 10 Points
Total Evaluation Criteria: 100 Points
Deliverables Include:
- Manage HIP applications throughout their lifecycle
- Management and maintaining of HIP Master Tracker
- Internal and external partner engagement and management
- Design of processes, trackers and tools
- Project risk/issue management
- Project reporting and tracking
Must Haves:
- 5+ years Experience with and knowledge of Project Management concepts (e.g. project goals, risk, scope, participant roles, project and work package planning & scheduling, and quality management)
- 5+ years experience Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and strong stakeholder engagement skills including experience working with clinical experts, technical teams, and healthcare administrators
- 5+ years experience Demonstrated success working in matrixed management structures and engaging diverse stakeholder groups to achieve organizational goals
