Project Controls Coordinator II

We are hiring! We are working with a multinational pipeline and energy client that is growing and adding a Project Controls Coordinator to their team.

Job Overview
The Project Controls Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of project controls planning, integration of cost and schedule functions, and quality control oversight of all project controls deliverables for Engineering and Construction capital projects. This role is typically assigned to projects of up to $25 million per year with durations of one year or less, ranging from routine to mid-level complexity. The PCC plays a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, effective project control processes, and alignment with the client’s project lifecycle and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and coordinate the development of the overall Project Execution Plan.
* Participate in the development and maintenance of project controls deliverables, including Cost Reports, Cost Variance Analysis, Cash Flow Reports, Schedule Reports, Project Change Management Procedures, Project Controls Plans, and Monthly Progress Reports.
* Integrate cost control and scheduling functions into a cohesive and aligned project controls approach.
* Define project controls resource requirements for assigned projects.
* Perform quality control reviews on all project controls deliverables to ensure completeness and accuracy.
* Lead coordination of deliverables for Phase Gate Review meetings in alignment with the 6-Phase Project Lifecycle.
* Provide feedback and recommendations to project controls and project systems functional groups based on lessons learned from the implementation of tools, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Minimum of four to five years of relevant project controls experience preferred.
* Candidates with 0-3 years of experience may be considered but, if selected, would be hired at a Level I instead of Level II.
* Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure.
* Knowledge and experience with scheduling and cost processes related to pipeline and plant facility projects.
* Familiarity with best management practices for project scheduling and cost control.
* Ability to understand and implement project scheduling and cost control processes and practices.
* Strong ability to manage multiple tasks with a reasonable level of supervision.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server.
