Drafting Coordinator (Intermediate)
- Pay Rate: $37.91/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 24 months

- Work Type: Hybrid – In-Office (Mon, Tue & Thu) | Remote (Wed & Fri)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The Drafting Coordinator acts as a liaison between internal drafting resources, external service providers, and TransCanada's Project Managers and Engineers.
- This role involves standard to moderately complex technical assignments requiring considerable technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Design Oversight Team to prepare preliminary layouts, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and/or Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Participate in the development of new procedures and improvements to existing practices.
- Review drafting requirements and expectations.
- Review drawings to ensure they conform with TransCanada and project drafting standards.
- Provide required documents to the project engineer or coordinator for reference in the Design Basis Memorandum (DBM).
- Check CAD files into the FileNet Working Library.
- Verify drawings are correctly loaded into FileNet Engineering and Working Libraries.
- Advise the project engineer or coordinator when libraries are complete and up-to-date.
Requirements
- Technical School graduate (required)
- 4–6 years of relevant experience (minimum 4 years required)
- Strong technical drafting expertise.
- Familiarity with CAD and FileNet systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
