  • Pay Rate: $90 – 105/hour, depending on experience

Raise is currently hiring a Project Manager – Data Loss Prevention on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a market leading financial institution

Description 

As a Project Manager within the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program, you will lead the execution of strategic security initiatives throughout the Solution Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC). You are a dynamic leader capable of managing competing priorities, delivering complex projects, and aligning stakeholders to achieve high-value security outcomes and cultural change regarding data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy, Planning & Execution
  • Roadmap Development: Partner within the program to develop and execute detailed project plans, schedules, and program-level roadmaps.
  • Scope Definition: Collaborate with Technology, Business, and 3rd party stakeholders to define problem statements, expected outcomes, and deliverables.
  • Execution: Manage all phases of project execution, ensuring alignment with the organizations strategic objectives and solution delivery standards.
  • Resource Management: Anticipate and manage resource requirements to maintain project momentum.
  • Change Management: Partner with business units to lead organizational change management and the "human element" of security.
  • Governance, Risk & Financial Management
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and inter-dependencies.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, providing regular reporting on financial status, forecasting, and cost health.
  • Compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet organizational quality, security, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Excellence
  • Facilitation: Act as a bridge between technical security requirements and business operational needs, facilitating complex workshops and discovery sessions.
  • Conflict Resolution: Navigate complex organizational dynamics and negotiate solutions when security policies conflict with business workflows.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication flow and consensus building across teams (Legal, IT, and Business units) to ensure total alignment.
  • Reporting: Provide transparent reporting on status, success criteria, and KPIs to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years leading large-scale initiatives and cross-functional teams in an agile-friendly environment.
  • Experience delivering projects in Data Classification and Information Protection within a highly regulated environment (e.g., Banking/Finance).
  • Proven experience leading the iterative process of policy tuning and alert remediation to ensure balanced security controls.
  • Previous experience leading DLP, Data Quality, Process Re-engineering, or Remediation projects is considered a strong differentiator.
  • Experience with Project Controls: Mastery of work plan development, milestone tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to influence and align diverse groups and drive consensus among stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • High level of active listening, feedback, and relationship-building skills.
  • Education and Skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Project Management: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is required.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) is a plus.

  • A requirement for candidates to be considered for this role will be to complete a criminal and credit check (including Canadian Credit Risk Score)
