Pay Rate: Up to $23.00/hour, depending on experience.
Work Location: Onsite – Spring, TX 77386
Work Schedule: 1st Shift | Shift starts at 6:00 am | 40 to 60 hrs
Duration: 12-month contract with possible extension/conversion based on performance and other factors.
Job Overview:
The Maintenance Technician uses measuring instruments to diagnose and perform general repairs on production equipment. This role involves determining necessary replacement parts, performing light fabrication, and working directly from technical prints and schematics to maintain operational efficiency across multiple systems.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnoses, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on numerical control, computerized numerical control, precision, and conventional machine tools, and other production equipment used in the development, manufacture, and testing of products.
* Execute repairs across various disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, vacuum, hydraulic, refrigeration, NC repair, and machine tool rebuilding.
* Utilize measuring instruments to diagnose equipment failures and perform general repairs on production machinery.
* Inspect machinery to determine and source replacement parts as required.
* Perform limited welding, basic plumbing, and grinding activities to support equipment upkeep.
* Interpret and work accurately from blueprints, prints, and technical schematics.
* Maintain high organizational standards to manage multiple repair projects independently.
* Execute all tasks with a high safety mindset, strictly following LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and adhering to local and industry standards under all circumstances.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Skills typically acquired through 2-3 years of relevant experience.
* Proven aptitude for pumps, hydraulic schematics, electrical systems, and general repair of material handling units.
* Prior experience working with high-pressure, electrical, and high-temperature systems.
* Ability to perform very physical work daily, with an emphasis on bending, twisting, and lifting.
* Maintain a professional appearance daily.
Machinery & Tools Used:
* Computers, multimeters, meggers, and calibration systems.
* Hydraulic pump systems, high-pressure fittings, and Memacs.
* Overhead cranes, forklifts, jackstands, slings, and ladders.
* Hammers, hand tools of all varieties, soldering equipment, and grinding tools.
* PPE: Hardhat, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
