IT Project Manager (Intermediate)
Pay Rate: $65.58/hour, depending on experience
Contract Length: 1 Year

Raise is currently hiring a two (2) IT Project Managers the 1st position is for an IT Project Manager – Field Infrastructure & Security with a Focus: Hardware Installation (Video Surveillance & Access Management)the 2nd postion is for an IT Project Manager – Governance & Compliance with a focus on SOX Implementation & IT Controls on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Position 1: IT Project Manager – Field Infrastructure & Security
Description
The IT Project Manager in this role will lead the deployment of critical hardware across our Oil and Gas field sites. This isn’t a "desk-only" job; you will be the driving force behind the physical installation of video surveillance, access management systems, and essential IT hardware. You will bridge the gap between corporate IT strategy and rugged field execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Execution: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware installation projects, specifically Video Surveillance (CCTV) and Physical Access Control Systems (PACS).
- Vendor & Crew Management: Lead and direct field technicians and third-party contractors to ensure installations meet TC Energy safety and technical standards.
- Scope & Budget: Negotiate and manage changes in project scope, budgets, and timelines with Project Owners.
- Logistics: Coordinate the movement of hardware to remote field locations, ensuring all site-specific requirements are met.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Project Management experience with a specific focus on IT hardware/infrastructure in an industrial or Oil & Gas environment.
- Proven track record installing Video Surveillance and Access Management systems.
- High degree of creativity and latitude in problem-solving within remote field constraints.
- Education
- Post-secondary degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification is highly preferred.
Position 2: IT Project Manager – Governance & Compliance
Description
The IT Project Manager in this role will spearhead IT Governance and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) implementation projects. You will be responsible for ensuring our IT processes are robust, compliant, and integrated into our broader corporate framework. This role requires a PM who understands the "why" behind the controls as much as the "how" of the project plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Leadership: Lead the implementation and optimization of IT SOX controls and governance frameworks.
- Project Coordination: Manage medium-complexity projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all documentation meets audit-ready standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Internal Audit, Finance, and IT teams to align governance goals with business operations.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential compliance gaps and develop remediation plans to ensure continuous alignment with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Project Management experience with a heavy emphasis on IT Governance and SOX 404 compliance.
- Familiarity with COBIT or similar IT governance frameworks within the energy sector.
- Ability to rely on judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals in a highly regulated environment.
- Education
- Degree in Business, IT, or Finance. CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or PMP is a significant asset.
