General Laborer
- Pay Rate: $18.21/hour (on W2)
- Contract Length: 5-month
- Location: On-site – Huntsville, AL 35805
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shoveling ash and trash buildup from under and around conveyor systems and hoppers; transport via wheelbarrow
- General debris removal throughout the plant
- Cleaning and maintenance inside boilers and hoppers (confined space; full-face respirator required)
- Material handling of plant materials and equipment (staging, pipes, air hoses, etc.)
- Painting
- Operating transport equipment (Bobcat, forklift, man lift)
- Blowdown of designated areas
General Plant Requirements
- Completion of site safety orientation prior to starting work
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to use job tools provided (shovels, rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows, cutting tools, grinders, vacuum systems)
- Contractor-provided PPE must be worn at all times
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds
- Contractor lead must attend morning planning meetings
- Contractors must supply their own labeled lockout/tagout locks
- Ability to access rooftops and work in confined spaces using full-face respirators
- Ability to work in hot and dusty environments
- Training/experience working around conveyors, heavy equipment, and industrial environments
