Interaction/Visual Designer
- Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (3 days in-office and 2 days from home)
- Pay Rate: $72.47/hr – $85.57/hr
- Contract Length: 12 Months

Responsibilities:
- Be the consistent day-to-day product designer dedicated to a squad that includes a content designer and researcher who are shared across multiple squads. As such, they will be responsible for communicating and managing the day-to-day design needs of the squad (with support and leadership from their design lead) and will be a key partner to the Product Owner
- Responsible for the interaction and visual design deliverables of the team, from early-stage concepting all the way to delivering final ready-for-dev design files
- Be accountable for following accessible design requirements and visual brand guidelines, and for ensuring that designs leverage our design system
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure visual design consistency across
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners: product managers, project managers, business analysts, developers, and quality assurance teams.
- Participation in Agile ceremonies
Must-have Skills
- At least 5 years of product design experience, or at least 7 years in a combination of Interaction Design and Visual design roles
- Experience designing within the the retail/ecommerce space (Native Mobile App as well as responsive web).
- Demonstrated expertise with design, prototyping, and collaboration tools such as Figma, Mural, and design systems.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, and the rationale and logic behind design decisions
- Lean UX and working with Agile dev teams
- Usability research experience
- Great communication and facilitation skills
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience working in the loyalty space
- Experience working with product managers, BA’s, project managers, developers and QE (as part of a larger organization)
- Experience creating user journeys, wireframes, and information architecture
- Experience with facilitating or supporting user research, with an understanding of various research methods and how/when they are applied.
