Maintenance Millwright (Red Seal)
- Pay Rate: $43.00 – $50.00/hour
- Contract Length: 12 months
- Location: Lethbridge, AB T1H 6P3 (Onsite)

Overview
- We are seeking a Journeyman Millwright (Canada Red Seal certified) to support maintenance operations at a seed processing facility in Lethbridge.
- This role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment to minimize downtime and support safe, efficient operations.
- The Millwright reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and plays a key role in maintaining equipment across seed cleaning, treating, packaging, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
- Complete maintenance work orders within established timelines.
- Support KPI goals related to equipment reliability and uptime.
- Maintain parts inventory readiness and documentation.
- Assist with mechanical installations and facility maintenance projects.
- Work safely while supporting a cost-effective and quality maintenance program.
- Continuously learn and apply reliability and maintenance best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Millwright certification (Canada Red Seal).
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a seed processing facility or industrial environment.
- Ability to read and carry out instructions in English (written and verbal)
- Experience using SAP work orders or similar maintenance systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
- Must provide own basic tools.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Mechanical systems including rotating and conveying equipment.
- Seed cleaning, packaging, and material handling equipment.
- PLC systems, HMI interfaces, VFDs, and power distribution systems.
- Equipment such as compressors, legs, drags, and dust collection systems.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Working knowledge of maintenance safety procedures.
Required Certifications & Training
- Confined Space certification
- Working at Heights certification
- Arc Flash safety training
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- First Aid certification
Software Knowledge
- Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
- SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
- RS Logix experience considered an asset.
Work Environment
- Industrial processing facility environment.
- Fast-paced, hands-on maintenance work.
- Work may include heights, confined spaces, and outdoor exposure.
