Billing Representative
- Pay Rate: $24.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 6 months
- Location: Windsor, CT 06095 (Onsite)
- Work Schedule: 1st Shift | start time between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The Billing Representative will support the billing team by assisting with backlog cleanup and documentation ahead of an upcoming ERP system transition.
- This role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-department collaboration.
- The contractor will work closely with current billing staff and other internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and support process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Learn current billing processes and assist with backlog cleanup prior to ERP system migration.
- Assist with documentation and workflow creation for the new ERP system.
- Compile and sort billing-related documents such as invoices and payment records.
- Verify and post transaction details including funds received and disbursed.
- Generate invoices and monitor revenue-generating activities.
- Prepare and review reports for accuracy related to billing operations.
- Reconcile report discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams via email and Microsoft Teams.
- Respond to billing inquiries from employees, vendors, and customers.
- Support special billing-related projects as needed.
Top Responsibilities
- Review Purchase Orders and Service Orders to prepare for posting or perform cleanup.
- Learn current billing workflows and create documentation for the ERP system change.
- Review Rental Orders for accuracy and corrections.
- Assist with special billing-related projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in billing, invoicing, or accounting support.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Navision is a plus.
