We're Raise, and we've partnered with a local modular housing company that has a mission to build the most affordable, high-quality homes in Ontario. They design, manufacture, and install complete turnkey housing.
The Spray Foam Installer (Sprayfoamer) is responsible for applying spray foam insulation in residential and modular building environments. This role plays a key part in delivering high-performance, energy-efficient homes by ensuring proper insulation installation, air sealing, and moisture control. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with spray foam equipment and is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction or manufacturing setting.
What you will be doing…
• Installation & Application: Apply open-cell and/or closed-cell spray foam insulation to walls,
ceilings, floors, and roof assemblies.
• Prepare surfaces and work areas prior to application.
• Operate spray foam rigs, pumps, hoses, and associated equipment safely.
• Monitor foam expansion, coverage, and thickness to ensure proper insulation performance.
• Quality & Performance: Ensure insulation meets building codes, manufacturer specifications, and
energy efficiency requirements.
• Inspect completed work to confirm air sealing and coverage standards are achieved.
• Work with supervisors and production teams to maintain consistent quality across projects.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols including PPE, ventilation procedures, and
chemical handling guidelines.
• Maintain proper storage and handling of spray foam materials.
• Ensure compliance with WHMIS and workplace safety standards.
• Equipment & Maintenance: Maintain spray foam equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Clean and service tools and rigs after use.
• Monitor material usage and assist with inventory management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with framing, mechanical, and finishing teams during the construction
process.
• Communicate progress, issues, or material needs to supervisors.
Why this is the right job for you…
• Required: 1+ years of experience installing spray foam insulation.
• Experience operating spray foam rigs and equipment.
• Knowledge of residential construction and building envelope systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings or insulation specifications.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Preferred: Spray polyurethane foam certification (SPF installer or equivalent).
• Experience working in modular or prefab construction.
• WHMIS certification (assistance available).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to consent to a background check.
