Description

This Senior Business Analyst position is central to enhancing the Capital Markets division's revenue generation and expediting the necessary infrastructure support for new product launches. This role involves serving as the key link between various cross-functional stakeholders and vendor representatives. A primary focus will be the integration of new products into our existing global trading suite. This individual will act as the strategic architect for the successful onboarding and full front-to-back integration of these new offerings.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Financial Markets product offerings and the complexities of the lifecycle processes. They will be adept at breaking down complex strategic problems into manageable components and possess the analytical skills to scrutinize data and information, extracting valuable insights and formulating actionable recommendations. The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in driving the growth of the Capital Markets division, in accelerating new products and infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

• Lead the complete lifecycle for integrating new Financial Markets trading products into our established product framework. This includes developing a comprehensive integration model, from trade execution, capture, booking, pricing to risk valuation, collateral optimization and settlement etc. (full front-to-back). Work with teams to set the target-operating model.

• Act as the primary translator between Trading, Risk, Finance, Operations, and external vendors to harmonize bespoke product needs.

• Gather and translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications and user stories that can be readily understood and implemented by the technical team.

• Create process flow diagrams, use case diagrams, and other visual representations to articulate requirements where required.

Solution Design and Validation:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and vendor representatives to design and implement solutions that align with business requirements.

• Participate in solution reviews and provide feedback to ensure alignment with business needs.

• Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and data integrity.

Stakeholder Management:

• Act as a primary point of contact for Capital Markets teams including (Front Office, Middle Office, Risk Management, Finance) and external vendors, cultivating trust-based relationships with stakeholders across all seniority levels.

• Lead and coordinate complex, multi-departmental meetings, ensuring diverse teams remain aligned with organizational goals and ensuring agendas stay strictly on track.

• Demonstrate exceptional active listening and analytical skills by rapidly grasping complex business requirements, even within high-pressure or time-constrained environments.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project scope and deliverables.

Capital Markets Knowledge:

• Familiar with the Financial Markets landscape, including hands-on experience with integrating new trading products into existing infrastructure, and developing associated risk metrics for monitoring and reporting purposes.

• Proven ability to navigate the complexities of the trade lifecycle, with a firm grasp of the distinct functional needs of Front-to-Back office operations.

• Robust knowledge of the regulatory landscape affecting Financial Markets.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 3 years specifically within the financial services or Capital Markets industry, ideally with exposure to trading processes.

• Proven experience leading business analysis efforts on implementation projects.

• Strong understanding of Capital Markets products, services, risk monitoring and operational processes.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, and analyze complex business requirements.

• Experience with process modeling and documentation techniques.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and senior business stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
