Execution Reliability Specialist
- Pay Rate: $119.90 – $145/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 12 months

- Schedule: 14 days on, 14 days off

Overview
- The Execution Reliability Specialist (ERS) supports the Wells business by ensuring the integrity, compliance, and reliability of materials, equipment, and services used in drilling and completion operations.
- Embedded within Wells Teams, the ERS focuses on applying quality best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and local quality processes to support safe and efficient well execution.
- This role is distinct from a Quality Advisor in that it emphasizes team-specific execution reliability, service quality, and tool performance at the operational level.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities for Wells Teams, including pre‑ and post‑job inspections of drilling and completion equipment and service-related products.
- Develop and steward Wells Team–specific Quality Specifications aligned with global quality standards and requirements.
- Conduct capability and compliance assessments of drilling contractors and service partners as directed by the Operations Superintendent or Wells Manager.
- Develop, implement, and steward the Wells Team Quality Plan in alignment with OIMS, including setting expectations and reviewing KPIs for contractors and service providers.
- Review and oversee the development and implementation of Service Quality Plans by drilling contractors and service partners.
- Perform quality audits of key suppliers and service providers in accordance with API Q1, API Q2, DS‑1, and the Wells Quality Manual.
- Conduct pre‑load‑out verifications for drilling and completion equipment, including:
- Review of manufacturing and maintenance records
- Equipment traceability checks
- Visual inspections
- Witnessing functional and pressure tests
- Lead and coordinate equipment and service failure investigations, including root cause analysis (RCA), corrective action identification, and documentation through Quality Event Reports (QER) in WellView.
- Share quality lessons learned and investigation outcomes with Wells Teams to support continuous improvement.
- Lead quarterly KPI performance reviews with key service providers, covering operational metrics, failures/incidents, and new technology or engineering solutions.
- Provide Wells Team training on quality expectations, processes, and best practices as required.
- Conduct data analytics to evaluate vendor performance using key reliability and operational metrics.
- Support engineering, operations, and cost‑reduction initiatives by providing equipment reliability and performance insights.
- Support procurement and RFQ activities by contributing quality and reliability input during vendor evaluations.
- Engage with the ERS network to support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical guidance to third‑party inspectors when utilized.
- Provide support and best‑practice guidance related to drill string connections, MUT, and equipment handling.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems, including API Q1, API Q2, and ISO 9001:2015.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems used in drilling and completion operations.
- Understanding of asset and equipment life‑cycle management principles.
- Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Knowledge of the function and primary failure modes of drilling and completion equipment.
- Familiarity with non‑destructive inspection methods (e.g., liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, EMI).
- Understanding of manufacturing, machining, and maintenance processes.
- Proficiency in basic data analysis, including Excel pivot tables and performance trending.
- Operations or field experience supporting drilling, completion, or well execution activities preferred.
