Cable Technician I
Pay Rate: Up to $22.00/hour, depending on experience.
Work Location: Onsite – Andrews, TX 79714
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 2:00 pm till finish of production
On call: Monday – Sunday | 7:30 am – 6:30 pm
Duration: 6-month contract with possible extension/conversion based on performance and other factors.
Raise is currently hiring a Cable Technician I on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Job Overview:
This is an entry-level position where the employee is responsible for performing basic repairs and learning foundational technical skills. The role focuses on inventory management, cable maintenance, and a commitment to learning and applying all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Performs basic operations to test and repair downhole cable for submersible pumps and motor equipment.
- Receives cable and carries out basic tests.
- Perform basic repairs and learn how to splice cable.
- Complete paperwork to send cable to inventory or the field.
- Learn all relevant company HSE policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate the application of HSE policies and procedures into daily duties.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
