Contract Professional – Civil
- Pay Rate: $57.30/hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 6 Months
- Location: Burnaby or Surrey British Columbia
Raise is currently hiring a Contract Professional – Civil on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Contract Professional in this role will provide expert post-award management for medium to high-complexity contracts. This role is pivotal in supporting contractors within our clients Civil Underground Construction division. You will ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget by maintaining rigorous oversight of vendor performance and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
- Post-Award Management: Perform comprehensive contract management activities, applying expert knowledge to oversee the lifecycle of civil construction contracts.
- Vendor Relations: Act as the primary interface between and suppliers. Monitor performance, identify potential issues early, and take proactive steps to resolve disputes or delays.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure both and its vendors fulfill all contractual terms. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to minimize financial and operational risks.
- Financial Oversight: Forecast, monitor, and report on contract usage. Ensure all activities align with ’s finance control policies and specific project budget requirements.
- Strategic Advisory: Provide guidance to internal client groups on supply chain concepts and public sector procurement law to ensure maximum value for the organization.
Qualifications
- 9 years of direct contract management experience
- Proven track record in post-award contract management functions.
- Extensive experience in vendor management and performance tracking.
- Exceptional professional communication skills (written and verbal) for complex stakeholder environments.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Skilled in monitoring contract performance and identifying trends or risks before they impact project delivery.
- Comfortable working within cross-functional teams to drive sourcing initiatives forward.
- Ability to build and maintain meaningful connections between suppliers and internal supply chain organizations.
- Assets (Nice-to-Haves):
- Direct experience managing Civil Construction or underground infrastructure contracts.
- Proficiency in SAP and/or Visio.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, or a related discipline
- Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) or Supply Chain Management (SCMP). (preferred)
Additional Information
- Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
- Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
