Wastewater Treatment Technician I
- Pay Rate: $18.00 – $19.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 9 months with possible extension/conversion – temp to hire
- Location: Lewisburg, TN 37091 (Onsite)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The Wastewater Treatment Technician I is responsible for the collection and processing of materials within a facility.
- In this role, the technician will take direction from the Supervisor or Manager and operate various types of machinery to perform daily operational tasks.
- Equipment used may include forklifts, compactors, balers, skid steers, wheel loaders, and excavators.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, balers, compactors, skid steers, wheel loaders, and excavators.
- Process waste materials into designated commodities or according to vendor specifications.
- Perform general housekeeping including sweeping, washing, and maintenance of assigned areas.
- Load and unload van trailers and/or flatbeds.
- Manage material collection points within the facility.
- Interact with plant personnel to determine operational needs in local areas.
Qualifications/Skills
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts.
- Shipping and receiving industry experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to become forklift certified through internal training.
- Ability to work long shifts and maintain punctuality.
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Must qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
