Raise is currently hiring a Engineering Project Manager on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Engineering Project Manager in this role will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of low to medium-risk infrastructure programs and construction projects. You will lead cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that our clients capital and maintenance programs are executed safely, with high quality, and remain strictly within budget and schedule. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple moving parts across the project lifecycle while maintaining a "safety-first" culture.

Responsibilities            

  • Program Planning & Delivery: Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of infrastructure projects. You will monitor program benefits and resources, creating vital documentation including project plans, action logs, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Risk & Financial Management: Develop comprehensive project and risk management plans for projects typically valued up to $20 million. You will be responsible for keeping the program on track financially and operationally.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Orchestrate diverse activities including engineering, quality assurance, procurement, and construction management. You will ensure all regulatory approvals and safety standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder & Indigenous Engagement: Build and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This includes navigating First Nations engagement, customer relations, and coordinating directly with field crews and engineers.
  • Reporting & Controls: Utilize project management software and MS Office to provide regular status reports to senior leadership, ensuring transparency in project progression and resource allocation.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of project management experience, preferably in a utility, construction, or heavy industrial environment.
  • End-to-End Infrastructure Lifecycle Management – experience leading projects from scoping and planning through to construction and post-implementation for projects with capital costs in the $5M to $20M range.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams (coordinating between Engineering, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Field Crews)
  • Ability to navigate First Nations and stakeholder engagement is a non-negotiable requirement.
  • Experience with Risk Management Plans, Action Logs, Communication Plans, and Status Reports. Proficiency in MS Project and Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management practices
  • Team player with positive attitude to support other Project Managers in the team under tight deadline
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic work environment
  • Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering, an asset
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation, preferred        

Additional Information

  • Local candidates are preferred, however, remote candidates may be considered,  if they have  strong experience and can work PST hours
  • Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
  • Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network
