General Laborer
- Pay Rate: $26.51/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 3 months with possible extension/conversion
- Location: Avon Lake, OH 44012 (Onsite)
- Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Shovel ash and trash buildup from conveyor systems and hoppers; transport using wheelbarrows
- Remove debris throughout the plant
- Perform cleaning and maintenance inside boilers and hoppers (confined space; full-face respirator required)
- Handle plant materials and equipment (pipes, air hoses, staging, etc.)
- Perform painting tasks
- Operate transport equipment (Bobcat, forklift, man lift)
- Blow down work areas
General Requirements
- Must complete site safety orientation prior to starting
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to use tools (shovels, rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows, cutting tools, grinders, vacuum systems)
- Must supply and wear required PPE
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently
- Lead contractor must attend daily planning meetings
- Must have personal labeled lockout/tagout locks
- May be required to access rooftops and confined spaces
- Must be comfortable working in hot and dusty environments
- Must be trained to work around conveyors and heavy equipment
Medical Clearance Requirements
- Initial OSHA Respirator Exam & review
- Blood, lead, and ZZP testing
- Medical clearance exam
- Audiogram
