Consultant, Control Management
- Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid – (In-office every Tuesday and every second Friday of the month)
- Pay Rate: $39.83/hr – $47/hr
- Contract Length: 6 Months with a possibility of extension

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Control Management, the Group Product Manager, Control Management, will support the development and deliverance of ongoing control management improvements designed to broaden and dramatically improve secured and unsecured lending product control management.
Act as a subject matter expert in the development and execution of controls and processes, ensuring that operational processes are compliant with all key regulations.
- Analyze and assess complex problems/solutions; make decisions on behalf of RESL and Unsecured management as required to support initiatives and ensure adequate oversight and controls are in place to meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with business controls, risk, operations, and channel partners, as well as other lines of business, through a common set of strategies that support the bank's strategic business objectives and our customer and regulatory needs.
- Review and assess options and proposals regarding developments/enhancements for programs, products, or services and make recommendations to the Director/Senior Director regarding control and oversight impact and operating effectiveness to meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic and tactical support to various technology/application development groups, business management, and other enterprise teams to ensure designs, approaches and solutions are aligned with our standards and guidelines
- Work with our Business Controls and Second Line of Defense partners to identify, manage, and test key processes to ensure controls are designed and operating effectively.
- Manage the day-to-day product oversight to ensure we are always aligned with policies and procedures and our key controls are effective. Ensuring that we are consistently compliant with all required client disclosure.
- Leverage strong planning, analytical, and communication skills to deliver high-quality deliverables within tight timelines.
- Support other RESL/Unsecured product initiatives as capacity permits
Must Have Requirement:
- Minimum 1 year of audit experience.
- Minimum 1 year of control testing experience.
- Strong understanding and ability to interpret process flows, ability to document processes.
- Governance and risk management experience.
- Microsoft Office expertise.
Nice to Have:
- Prior banking experience.
