Software Engineer (Python Developer)
- Location: Toronto, ON—Hybrid (4 days on-site per week, 1 remote)
- Pay Rate: $76.03/hr – $89.77/hr
- Contract Length: 12 Months with a possibility of extension
We at Raise are hiring a Software Engineer (Python Developer) for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand. Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business partners to spec out requirements and develop both new and existing applications that provide business value
- Test, support, and provide ownership of developed applications
Must-have Skills:
- 5+ years of development experience (preferably in web development/full stack)
- Python and FastAPI: must-have
- Relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle) must (either 1 of the 2)
- API and Web Application development
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Math/finance knowledge
- University education (any degree)
- FastAPI
- Common frameworks/libraries (Dash, pandas)—nice to have
- The soft skills outlined below are just as important as the technology skills important
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong desire to learn
