Elevator Worker
- Pay Rate: $20/hour
- Work Type: Onsite
- Work Schedule: 1st shift (6a-2p or 2nd shift 12p-8p)
- Duration: 3 month contract with a high possibility of extension
Raise in partnership with one of our clients are seeking to hire a Elevator Worker (Charlotte, NC)
Key Responsibilities:
- Dump and load trucks and railcars
- Measure and monitor grain bins
- Operate grain conveying, storage and cleaning equipment
- Assist with grain handling including receiving of grain commodities, grading procedures & bin cleanout procedures
- General housekeeping duties, including, picking-up grain spills, dumping damaged/trashed grain and cleaning equipment
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
- Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed.
- Exhibit consistent and prompt attendance in work history.
- Work history that reflects an ability to commit to working with a company/entity for an extended period.
- Work history in an industrial environment with over 5 years of experience.
- Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to; prolonged periods of standing, sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, using cleaning tools, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 55 lbs.
- Willing to work overtime, shift work and weekends, as needed.
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent
- Meaningful work experience in an Industrial/Commercial environment.
