Billing Specialist
- Pay Rate: $23.71/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 3 months with possible extension/conversion
- Location: Pin Oak Pkwy, Avon Lake, OH (Onsite)
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices based on service agreements and pricing terms
- Act as the primary contact for billing inquiries via phone and email
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, credits, and adjustments
- Verify supporting documentation (service tickets, work orders, purchase orders, contracts) before invoicing
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and accounting teams to ensure billing accuracy
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including payment posting and collections follow-up
- Support month-end close, reporting, and audit documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and enhance customer experience
- Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual/regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business or Accounting preferred
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, billing, accounts receivable, or related field preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer concerns professionally
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
