Job Title: Nuclear Work Management Assessor (OPG AS9)
Contract: 12 months

Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in nuclear work management and planning to support critical project and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing the Assessing (AS9) function within OPG environments and a strong understanding of work planning, safety protocols, and execution readiness in a nuclear setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Assessing (AS9) responsibilities in accordance with OPG standards and procedures
- Develop, review, and approve OPG Work Plans to ensure alignment with project and operational requirements
- Prepare comprehensive Work Packages, including:
- Lift Plans
- Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) Plans
- Confined Space Entry Plans
- Support the creation, review, and approval of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Ensure all work documentation meets nuclear safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure work readiness and execution efficiency
- Identify risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are incorporated into planning documentation
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience working within nuclear power environments, preferably with Ontario Power Generation (OPG)
- Direct experience performing or supporting the AS9 Assessing function
- Strong background in:
- Work Plan preparation and approval
- Work Package development
- Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) processes
- Familiarity with nuclear safety practices, including:
- FME (Foreign Material Exclusion)
- Confined Space procedures
- Lifting and rigging plans
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
Nice-to-Have
- Experience on large-scale nuclear refurbishment or maintenance projects
- Knowledge of OPG systems, processes, and documentation standards
- Technical background in mechanical, electrical, or nuclear engineering/technology
