Senior Project Manager (Mobile)
- Location: Toronto, ON – (Onsite)
- Pay Rate: $89.53/hr – $105.71/hr
- Contract Length: 12 Months with a possibility of extension

Responsibilities:
- Apply hands-on technical project management for all phases of the software development lifecycle across different technology platforms internal and external to banking, enabling successful feature completion & launch.
- Build and manage relationships with all project stakeholders both internal and external to your project. This will include internal and external clients and senior management, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to demonstrate expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
- Help to identify and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them.
- Create an environment that enables peak performance by team members, maintaining and growing our team culture.
- Communicate effectively with regards to backend infrastructure and other technology teams, leveraging the team’s expertise
- Drive and participate in recommending an appropriate action plans with your working understanding of the technical solution
- Leverage risk and change management skills on projects—plan day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.
- Deliver and own project outcomes that are aligned to established cost, timing, deliverable, and scope objectives.
As Scrum Master
- Coordinate and run sprint events as per scrum best practices
- Monitor and improve the Scrum process and project progress, helping solve impediments in the development process.
- Coach the scrum team to apply appropriate processes to create successful products, enable them to take charge and ownership of the squad’s deliverables
- Foster a self-organized and collaborative scrum team, sheltering the team from outside distractions to keep focus mainly on the agreed sprint goals.
- Ensure Scrum principles and approaches are understood correctly by the development team and stakeholders, maximizing the performance of the team.
Must-have Skills:
- 7+ years of tech industry experience and/or project management experience of client-facing products
- Experience in Iterative Delivery and/or Agile, working with multiple partners and internal and external technology vendors as applicable, potentially in different time zones
- Communication, organization, management and people skills—be able to communicate and present clearly to senior management and executives, as well as your project team
- Successfully manage a team of 10 or more people in a matrixed environment
- Experience managing several technical projects simultaneously
- Working understanding of technical solution architecture from a product delivery perspective
- Prior experience or education in software development or an equivalent technical background
- Ability to get into the details & problem solve, with the restraint & judgment to know when not to do so.
- Thrives in ambiguity, both situational and procedural
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience in Mobile App and Services delivery lifecycle
- Experience in driving changes in organizations
- Program Management skills
- Previous experience in banking or financial services in a Sr PM capacity
- Previous experience at a startup or running your own company
- Prior experience or education in software development or an equivalent technical background
- PMP certification
- Scrum Master Certification
